Last month, Cole turned 40, and launched a blog titled ‘the Algorithm.’ For the most part, it’s the place to find Inevitable, Cole’s career-retrospective podcast that he’s been making with Ibrahim Hamad. This weekend, Cole also used the site to post a new song called “cLOUDs”: “just wanted to share. made this a few days ago, then i added a second verse and was like ‘man I got a blog now, I can put whatever I want up there.” This track is produced by DZL and Omen, with “small contributions from me.”
The song features dreamy production, likely courtesy of Cole himself, and wordplay riddled verses in which he gets deep into his lyrical bag as we all know and love J.Cole to do!
‘cLOUDs’ “Clouds” is Cole’s first new song to emerge since he dropped the YouTube loosie “Port Antonio” last October. On this song track, Cole addressed his divisive decision to apologize for dissing Kendrick Lamar and step away from a brewing rap battle with the GNX rapper.
J.Cole is back with his first new song of 2025!
