Acclaimed South London Rapper Yungen is back and giving fans exactly what they have been waiting for with “Is This What You Want”. Returning to his roots in UK Rap, Yungen delivers a gritty and lyrical verse that grime fans and UK Rap fans alike will enjoy and reminisce about the origins of the popular genre. While recent Yungen singles have been versatile, ranging from club bangers to modern UK Rap inspired tracks such as “Dave & Cench Type Beat” this track will bring listeners back to the days when they first heard Yungen and appreciate his hard-hitting bars and grime flows. This single proves Yungen can add his personal touch on a variety of different styles and genres coming up, but still has the abilities to absolutely body his lyrical verses like when he first came in the game. Fans have got what they want with “Is This What You Want”.
Yungen’s ability to blend elements of modern rap with grime flows and R&B is one of many factors that makes him stand out from peers. His beat selection and authenticity in his verses has brought listeners back and continued to expand his fanbase for a decade. He’s worked with the biggest artists in the game such as Stormzy, Craig David etc and singles such as “Bestie” featuring Yxng Bane have gone platinum. His verse on “Bad” with Steel Banglez, Mostack, Mr Eazi and Not3s is now considered a classic.
