
The infamously-talented Grime collective are back with their ‘Red Bull Raise The Bar’ Studio Cypher. Ruff Sqwad is a prominent grime collective formed in 2001 in Bow, East London. Known for their innovative production style and significant contributions to the early development of grime music, they have been influential in shaping the genre. The group originally included members like Prince Rapid, Dirty Danger, and Tinchy Stryder, among others.
Ruff Sqwad gained recognition through their distinctive instrumentals, such as “Functions on the Low” and the street classic anthem “Pied Piper”. They were prominent on the London pirate radio scene in the early 2000s and released notable mixtapes like “Guns and Roses Volume 1” and “Volume 2”. After an 8 year hiatus, the collective have returned with new music, with the release of their latest drop ‘Flee FM’ continuing to impact the grime scene.
